The Digital Front Door to NIBRS Statistics
The Crime in Rhode Island Dashboard is a public read-only web service that returns statistical information through data visualizations and is organized around the guidelines of the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS). The Reports Page, located on the Menu Bar, provides near real-time information based on monthly submissions from state and local law enforcement. This is not a public web service for submitting or modifying data.

NIBRS Training
Rhode Island law enforcement personnel have numerous opportunities a year to receive FBI CJIS NIBRS training. The FBI training team has 275 logins for each training session and is generally held over 3 days for a total of 12 hours of instruction.
All UCR/RMS Managers are strongly encouraged to attend the virtual training to strengthen knowledge of classifying and reporting crimes according to NIBRS Guidelines.
This training provides a valuable opportunity to ensure that your agency is complying and will assist in mitigating any problems with reporting crime data through the NIBRS program.

Training is scheduled for May 7-9, 2024, 12PM – 5PM and July 9-11, 2024, 12PM -5PM .
